Sikar : Heads are mine and tails are mine.. These days the government is making this saying come true in government schools. On one hand, the state government has banned mobiles in schools, and on the other hand, they are being served notices for not uploading information from mobiles. The latest case is of the state government’s tree plantation campaign. In this, notices have been issued to many government schools of the district for not doing geotagging after planting the saplings.
More than 10 tasks have to be done on mobile
Mobile phones have been banned for teachers in government schools, but their mobile related work has not been stopped yet. There are still more than 10 works for which mobile is required. For example, mobile is required for uploading children’s photos and activities in RKSMB i.e. Rajasthan’s Growing Steps in Education, Mission Gyan related to studies, Karmayogi and Diksha app, nutrition information, uploading milk data online through Bal Gopal app, household survey, geotagging of tree plantations and many works of Shala Darpan including enrollment updates.
Even if this is not done on time, schools are being threatened with action. In the midst of Praveshotsav, plantation of saplings and giving its complete details through geo tagging has also become a problem for government schools. In this, they have to spend time in uploading various kinds of information, from the picture of the pit for the sapling, distribution of saplings, size of the sapling. If this is not done, notice is being given. The education department is issuing notices to schools block-wise for not doing geo tagging in the tree plantation campaign. Recently, Dhod CBEO has issued notices in this regard to RVM Bhima, Bhirana, Chandpura, Chidasara, Harsh, Jachas, Jana, Koodan, Nani, Pura Choti, Rasidpura, Sabalpura, Sami, Sangliya, Tasarbari and Tatanwan schools for laxity in geo tagging of tree plantation.
‘In order to ensure educational quality and in compliance with the government’s orders, teachers have stopped keeping mobile phones in school. It is impossible to work online without a mobile phone. Officials should not make the mistake of issuing notices to teachers, otherwise the organization will strongly oppose it.’ Vinod Poonia, District President, Rajasthan Teachers’ Association (Shekhawat)
Education week is going on in the government schools of Lakshmangarh these days, in which different activities are being done every day and their reports are being sent to the education department. But the order of activities on Sunday in the fixed schedule has increased the confusion of teachers, students and parents. The special thing is that on the same day, the centers of hostel superintendent recruitment examination of the Staff Selection Board are also in these government schools. In such a situation, the confusion has increased. There is also anger among the teacher organizations in the matter.
Orders for these activities on Sunday
On 28th July, during the education week, schools have been instructed to organize a rally of students to connect the community with the school, hold a meeting of SMC and SDMC, invite and motivate philanthropists, write the names of philanthropists on the school’s notice board, award the philanthropists by giving them certificates, promote the Gyan Sankalp portal as much as possible and motivate people to cooperate, and hold a poster competition for students on the theme of Bhamashah Bano Abhiyan. Along with this, instructions have also been given to provide information about the students, members and personnel participating in the event and the photo of the event to the department. The order of these activities along with the hostel superintendent examination has increased the trouble of the schools. ‘Due to the order of Rajasthan Education Council, lakhs of teachers will have to face trouble on Sunday holiday. It is inappropriate to hold such programs on holiday. These programs could have been completed in 6 days also. The department officials have not yet received orders to open the school on Sunday.’
