Identification of lost mobile phones through Government of India portal
All the district SPs were instructed to search for lost mobiles under this special campaign during July and August 2024 across the state. Under this process, the Government of India portal www.ceir.gov.in has been used to identify stolen or lost mobiles, which sends the alert of the location of the stolen mobile to the nearest police station.
DGP Priyadarshi’s advice to the general public
DGP Priyadarshi has advised the general public to lodge a complaint about the lost mobile at the nearest police station or report it online on the Rajasthan Police portal. This type of proactiveness is expected to further reduce the incidents of cyber crime in the state.
