Knowing the struggle story of this daughter of Rajasthan, you will salute her too

Sikar : If any person is successful in life, there is a big story of struggle behind it. A similar story is of Archana, a resident of Raipur village of Sikar district of Rajasthan. She has recently won two medals in the 11th World Strength Lifting and Incline Bench Press Championship held in Kazakhstan. Representing India, Archana won the silver medal by lifting 292.5 kg in the 80 plus kg category and 107.05 kg in the bench. Archana says- “Today, even though her winning the medal has become a topic of discussion. But when she was preparing, she did not even have money to buy lifting equipment.”

Archana did not accept defeat

Archana did not give up at any step. Many people of the area started helping her. After this, Archana started practicing regularly and today the result is that she has won a medal. Talking about Archana’s family, her father works in a stone quarry to run the household. She has three siblings. However, their house is still a kutcha house.

Archana has won many awards in her name

First, Archana practiced under coach Durjan Singh in Sikar and then was trained by coach Udaybhan in Jaipur. Archana says, “So far she has won many medals at the state and national level. She is pursuing M.Com from Rajasthan University. She has been doing power lifting since 2017. Along with two international medals, she has won one gold, four silver and two bronze medals in weight lifting at the state level. She has won one gold, four silver and five bronze medals in weightlifting. She has won one bronze medal in strength lifting.”
