Bikaner : Bikaner The development work in Kolayat is to be done under Swadesh Darshan and Prasad Yojana. For this, the Tourism Department is going to spend Rs 2.05 crore. The Tourism Department had also prepared DPR for this in Jaipur. Work was to be done here as soon as the budget was received. Now Kolayat MLA Anshuman Singh has written a letter to the Tourism Department to develop Kolayat, the holy place of Sankhya pioneer Kapil Muni, on the lines of Pushkar. For this, the MLA has written to the Chief Government Secretary of the Tourism Department, the Commissioner as well as the District Collector and the Tourism Department. Letters have also been written to the Deputy Director. In the letter, he said, DPR of already decided works should be made again. In the newly prepared DPR, he has written to get 14 types of development works done. If the work is done as per the intention of the MLA, then the shrine of Kapil Muni will develop as a religious place as well as a tourist destination. Presently the condition of many ancient temples of Kolayat is such that it is risky to go there. Due to the 12 Shivalinga temples of Kolayat being very old, they are getting damaged at many places. Apart from this, during the bathing of Amavasya and Purnima here, the place for changing clothes for men and women is very small. In such situations, people have to face problems. Although the lake is divided into 52 ghats, most of them have been damaged. Along with getting all these works done, the MLA has also written to give a heritage look to the lake. Kolayat MLA has written for these works: 1. To get the ancient temples renovated,
2. Construction of ghats at deprived places in the pond complex,
3. Getting stone and cast railing work done at the pond complex and other places,
4. Changing room for men and women,
5. Toilet construction work,
6. Work of provision of clean drinking water,
7. Installing high mast light,
8. Getting the entrance gate constructed (from treachery gate),
9, Sign boards should be installed so that tourists do not face problems,
10. Stone chairs should be installed in the pond complex and other places.
11. Stone dustbins should be made in the pond complex and other places.
12. Rest houses should be built for devotees and tourists,
13. Including beautification of the northern side of the pond and construction of various statues.
14. The fair ground should be developed. Renovation of 12 Shivlingas and other works were to be done in Kapil Muni’s Dham Kolayat. The Taposthali of Sankhya pioneer Kapil Muni will also be developed under Swadesh Darshan and Prasad Yojana. Work worth Rs 205 lakh was to be done here. DPR has been prepared for this.
Under the scheme, 12 Shivalinga temples built near the lake will be renovated and preserved. For this, toilet blocks, drinking water coolers and water huts were to be built here. Not only this, stone waste collection centers were to be built around the lake. It was proposed to install stone chairs and signage boards. The DPR for the work to be done in Kolayat was first prepared in Jaipur. Now MLA Anshuman Singh has added some more work to these, so a fresh DPR will be prepared. We have written and sent the works suggested by the MLA to the headquarters. Earlier under Prasad Yojana, work worth Rs 2 crore five lakh was to be done here, now all the work will be done afresh. After this work is done, the number of tourists in Kolayat will definitely increase.
