Kota : Kota The culprit has murdered a live-in girl by hitting her on her body parts. This act of his is spreading fear in the society. This is also against public justice. This comment was written by the SC-ST Court of Kota in its verdict in a murder case on Friday. The court sentenced the accused to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000 for killing his live-in partner by kicking and punching him. Special public prosecutor Hitesh Jain said – the case is about 2 years old. . Divorced woman Kajal (27) was living in a live-in relationship with accused Avinash Bairagi (30) in Kansua area of the city. Avinash alias Shani is a resident of Railway Colony in Sogaria police station area in Kota.
Both were together for one and a half years. Avinash started doubting Kajal’s character. He thought that Kajal was talking to someone else. There was an argument between Avinash and Kajal on the night of 9 May 2022. After this Avinash beat him with kicks and punches. Kajal died due to this. After the incident, Avinash came out of the room and ran away after locking the door of the room from outside.
Kajal’s father lodged a report
On May 10, 2022, Kajal’s father Rajendra Kumar Meghwal lodged a complaint at Udyog Nagar police station. Rajendra is a constable in Police Line Kota. In the report, Rajendra told – For one and a half years, my daughter Kajal and Avinash were living in a rented room in Kansua police station area. Avinash used to threaten to kill Kajal. He forcibly kept the daughter with him. Before the incident, on 9 May 2022, Avinash and Kajal had come to my house located on Police Lines. Avinash was drunk then. He was threatening to kill Kajal. Rajendra told- That day I explained a lot to Avinash. The next morning, on May 10, 2022, information was received that Kajal was found dead in the room. Blood was flowing from his ears. There were many injury marks on the face and body.
13 witnesses presented 26 documents
After Rajendra’s complaint, Udyognagar police station took action. Accused Avinash arrested. A challan was presented against him in the court. 13 witnesses and 26 documents were presented in the court. On Friday, the SC ST Court (Kota) sentenced the culprit to life imprisonment in the almost two-year-old case of murder of a woman.
The court wrote in the decision – This act creates fear in the society.
Commenting on the verdict, the court wrote – The convict murdered Kajal, who lived with him, by hitting her on various parts of her body. The act of the accused undoubtedly creates fear in the society. This is also against public justice. If a lenient approach is adopted towards this type of criminal, then the trust and loyalty of the common people towards justice will be affected and such crimes will be repeated.
