Kota Anti Human Trafficking Unit gets big success, minor girl missing from Kota found in Baran after 5 months

Kota News Desk: A minor orphan girl who went missing from Kota city of Rajasthan has been found by the Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) after five months. On Friday, on the information of the informer, the police reached Baran, rescued the girl in front of a residential house and brought her back to Kota.

The girl was missing since June 10
Kota City SP Amrita Duhan said that a person resident of Dabi had given a complaint in the police station on June 17. It was mentioned in the complaint that his minor cousin lived in a rented house. On June 10, she had gone out somewhere and did not return. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police immediately registered an FIR and started searching for the minor.

A reward of Rs 5000 was kept
SP said that to search for the girl, first checked the surrounding CCTV footage. Call details were verified. Social media records were searched. The suspects were interrogated. But despite many efforts, no information was found about the girl. Considering the seriousness of the case, a cash reward of Rs 5000 was announced and a special team was formed to search for the girl.

Girl found in Kunj Vihar Colony
The police had published the picture of the minor and the information about the reward on social media as well as in newspapers. Meanwhile, the police received information that the girl was seen in a market in Baran in the month of October. When more information was sought from the informers, it was confirmed that a girl was seen in Kunj Vihar Colony of Baran. When the special team reached the spot and searched, the said minor was found outside a residential house.

The girl will stay in a juvenile home
Eventually the team searching for the minor girl brought her to Kota. Now she has been handed over to the SHO of Udyog Nagar police station for investigation. After some interrogation and medical examination, she was sent to a women’s reform home.
