Kota : When Kota women go to the markets for shopping, they have to face problems due to lack of facilities. To get rid of this, the Municipal Corporation will build pink toilets in the major markets of the city. In the first phase, it is proposed to build such toilets in major markets. For this, the corporation administration has started a survey. The state government had announced in the budget to build pink toilets in Kota and other cities, in compliance with this, the corporation administration has started preparations for the same in Kota. Pink toilets will be built in the markets. Besides, old damaged toilets will also be repaired. Survey has been started to build new toilets. When the teams talked to the traders, everyone wanted toilets to be built in the markets, but not near their establishments. Now the place will be marked after talking to business organizations.
Spotted in the markets, traders don’t agree
The major markets of the city fall in Kota North Corporation area. Recently, the North Corporation Commissioner had formed a team and asked to conduct a survey for making pink toilets in the markets and repairing the damaged toilets, on this the team conducted a survey in Indra Market, Rampura, Cloth Market, Chauthmata Market, Old Dhanmondi etc., where As soon as the corporation or government place was lying vacant, the traders stood up in protest as soon as there was talk of building a toilet there. For this reason, not a single place has been finalized yet.
The pink toilet will have separate toilet facilities for women and girls. This includes toilets with western and Indian facilities, disabled friendly toilets, proper lighting and ventilation facilities in toilets, availability of regular water, availability of sanitary pads, sanitary pad incinerator, wash basin for washing hands, in which there is continuous availability of water and soap.
