Kota : A crocodile attacked an elderly man on Chandraloi river in Kota. The crocodile caught hold of the old man’s hand and took him into the water. The old man hit the crocodile’s head with an ax with his other hand and saved his own life. After reaching home in a bloody condition, he told the whole story to his family members, after which he took him to MBS hospital. The incident took place today around 1 to 1.30 pm.
Chandreshal resident Babulal (70)’s left hand got injured in the crocodile attack. There has also been a serious injury on the head. The elder’s son Rakesh told – Father Babulal had gone to the river bank in the afternoon to freshen up. He had an ax in his hand. After freshening up, we were sitting on the river bank. During that time, a 10 to 12 feet long crocodile came out of the river in search of prey.
The elderly reached home in a bloody condition
The crocodile attacked the father. He pressed one of his father’s hands into his mouth and dragged him into the river. An ax was lying at the place where the father was sitting. While pulling the crocodile, the ax came into the father’s right hand. The father hit the crocodile on the head with an axe. After which the crocodile’s grip became loose. The father freed himself and came home. After reaching home he narrated the entire incident. The father has two to three fractures in his left hand from below the elbow. There are stitches on the head also.
