Kota KDA will save one crore every month through green energy

Kota : Kota Development Authority (KDA) has started planning and implementing it to reduce electricity bills and promote green energy. Under the scheme, the exercise to install solar plants on properties including KDA building, auditorium and community buildings and parks of the authority has started. With this, KDA has started reducing the amount spent on electricity every month to a minimum of about Rs 1 crore. Along with reducing its major expenses, KDA is also trying to save electricity based on traditional sources and promote green energy. This step has been taken for. In fact, KDA has to pay electricity bill of around Rs 1 crore per month for various properties including KDA buildings, auditoriums, community buildings and parks.

Work started after planning

In this case, on behalf of District Collector Dr. Ravindra Goswami, instructions were issued to KDA officials to prepare a plan and work on setting up solar plants to reduce electricity expenses and promote green energy. On this, KDA officials prepared a blueprint of the authority’s electricity expenditure and prepared a plan to install solar energy plants as an alternative.

Installed 250 kilowatt plants

Assistant Engineer Lalit Meena said that while working on green energy on behalf of KDA, a 170 kilowatt solar energy plant has been installed on the KDA building and 80 kilowatt solar energy plant on the auditorium at Srinathpuram. Thus, in the initial phase of the scheme, KDA has installed 250 kilowatt solar plants.

Plants will be set up here also

Solar plants will also be installed for lighting and electricity expenses around KDA’s 27 community buildings, CV Garden, Seven Wonders, Shivaji Park, Ganesh Udyan and Kishore Sagar Pond. This will significantly reduce KDA’s electricity bill of around Rs 1 crore. KDA has already taken steps to promote green energy. Under this, solar panels have been installed on KDA building and auditorium. Solar panels are also being installed on community buildings and parks. In such a situation, KDA’s expenditure of Rs 1 crore every month on electricity will be significantly reduced.
