Kota : Kota Mukandra Hills Tiger Reserve will get another tigress today. The female cub kept in Abheda Biological Park will be released here. The female cub will be released directly into a soft enclosure. Its behavior will be studied here for a few days. Because it is not yet in the forest environment. A 5 hectare soft enclosure has been made in Mukandra for the female cub. There are two enclosures for the Prey Base near it. Prey Base has already been left in both the enclosures. The process will start from 10 am in the morning at Abheda Biological Park in Kota. The team of doctors will tranquilize the female cub and check its health. After this a radio collar will be worn. Then the forest team will leave for Mukandra Tiger Reserve with the female cub.
Tigress T 114 offspring
The female cub is the offspring of tigress T114. The cub was born in November 2022 in Ranthambore Reserve. Tigress T 114 died and her two cubs (male and female) were brought to Kota Abheda Biological Park on 1 February 2023. At that time the cubs were two and a half months old. Forest workers took care of them in the park. They have become young tigers and tigresses. Both the cubs had received permission from NTCA to release them. But the permission of the Government of India was awaited. A few days ago, the Wildlife Division of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India had issued its orders. After which the male cub was released on December 4 in Bundi’s Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger. Today, after 7 days, the female cub is being released in Mukandra. Let us tell you that currently there is only one pair of tigers in Mukandra. Which are known as MT5 and MT6. By releasing the female cub in Mukandra, their number will increase to three. After this, two tigresses will be brought from MP and released here. Whose permission has been received.
