Kota police raids 36 hideouts of drug mafia, arrests 124

Kota News Desk: Police has swung into action after the revelation of openly selling of ganja and smack in Kota city. 42 teams of city police raided 36 places of drugs mafia early on Tuesday morning and arrested 124 criminals. Also seized 16 vehicles. Taking cognizance of the news of November 23, the Chief Minister’s Office has sought an action taken report from the City SP within three days. City SP Dr Amrita Duhan said that 42 teams were formed to take action against the drugs mafia and its related criminals, who raided 36 places in the city and took action against 124 criminals. Police have seized 16 vehicles from them. SP said that special teams have been formed to prevent drug abuse in the city.

When I opened my eyes I saw the police

The police have searched wherever drugs are being sold in the city. There was an early morning raid. When the criminals opened their eyes, they saw the police in front of them. The police team raided scrap shops, Ghoda Basti, Mahavir Nagar, Tomb, Ghantaghar, Station, Bhimganj Mandi and other places. Taking action, the police arrested two persons, took preventive action against 59 active and habitual criminals, interrogated 19 suspects, seized 8 history-sheeters and 16 vehicles. All these accused are involved in drug and other serious crimes.

Police personnel deployed in civil dress

After the news was published, the police found a possibility of drug selling wherever in the city. Policemen in civil dress have been deployed there.
