Kota : Kota Special train will run from Kota for the devotees going to Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Railways has approved the operation of special trains on Thursday. Starting from January 17, this train will run from Sogaria station 2 days a week (Tuesday and Friday). This train will make 7 trips each in both directions. Let us tell you that in the meeting held in Delhi on December 3, Speaker Birla had asked the Chairman of the Railway Board to start a special train from Kota to Prayagraj. Trains from Sogaria will run on 17, 21, 24 January, 7, 14, 18 and 21 February 2025, and from Banaras on 18, 22, 25 January, 8, 15, 19, and 22 February 2025. This train will have a total of 22 coaches including 5 sleeper, 4 third AC, 7 third AC economy, 2 second AC, 2 general class coaches, 1 SLR and 1 generator car.
Train number 09801 will depart from Sogaria at 8:15 am on Tuesday and Friday and reach Banaras Railway Station at 10:15 am the next day. In return, train number 09802 will depart at 2:45 pm on Wednesday and Saturday and reach Kota at 3:45 pm the next day. Earlier it was proposed to operate the train from Kota. But due to ongoing construction work in Kota, it will be run from Sogaria. Other arrangements including parking and pandal will also be made for the devotees. Due to high traffic pressure in Prayagraj during Kumbh, it will now be run till Banaras.
