Kota: Speeding truck crushes bike rider, 1 dead

Kota News Desk: A speeding truck coming from behind on Kota Highway hit two youths riding a bike. After this, it collided with an SUV running parallel to it and crushed a biker who had fallen on the road. One bike rider died in the accident while one seriously injured is undergoing treatment. The incident took place on December 7 in the over bridge of Modak police station area on National Highway 52 four lane (Delhi-Mumbai Highway) in Ramganjmandi, Kota. Its video surfaced on Monday evening.

Truck collides with bike rider from behind

Modak SHO Yogesh Sharma said – Saddam (33), son of Abdul Qayyum, resident of Kaithoon, died on the spot in the accident. Whereas his fellow Kaithoon resident Junaid is undergoing treatment in Jhalawar. The accident occurred at 3:51 pm on 7th December. Saddam and Junaid were going from Suket towards Kaithoon on National Highway 52 four lane. Meanwhile, a truck coming from behind hit them and crushed them. On information, the police reached the spot and with the help of passers-by, took both of them to Jhalawar Hospital. Where the doctor declared Saddam dead. Junaid has been kept in ICU. After the arrival of the family members, the post-mortem was conducted on Sunday and the body was handed over. The driver of the truck is absconding and is being searched through CCTV.

Collided with SUV and then crushed

It is seen in the video that the truck first hits the bike riders Saddam and Junaid from behind. After this, it collides with an SUV moving nearby and crushes Saddam who has fallen on the road. Police are searching for the absconding truck driver on the basis of CCTV.
