Kota : Kota State Government is engaged in developing Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary. Recently the tiger has been shifted here from Sariska. Now, on the lines of Mukundara Tiger Reserve, preparations are underway to reduce the perimeter of the eco-sensitive zone in Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary area from ten km to one km. The Central Government is expected to issue a notification in this regard soon. Recently, in the high level meeting held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, there was discussion regarding shifting of tigers in both the tiger reserves as well as the eco-sensitive zone of Ramgarh Vishdhari. Union Forest Minister Bhupendra Yadav was also present in the meeting. Its file has been sent to the Central Government. Ramgarh Reserve covers an area of 303.05 square kilometres.
What is eco sensitive zone: Eco-sensitive zones are created to curb construction activities around protected forest areas. The Ministry of Environment and Forests notifies eco-sensitive zones. At present, the perimeter of the eco-sensitive zone in Ramgarh Vishdhari is ten km. Notification has not been issued for Ramgarh regarding the eco-sensitive zone. The information that was sought from us has been provided. Notification will be issued at the government level. The work of developing Mukundara and Ramgarh is going on. Continuous efforts are being made to promote tourism in Hadoti. In connection with this, the perimeter of the eco-sensitive zone in Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve is soon going to be one km. The process in this regard is going on in the final stage. The work of bringing Tiger is going on. In the future, Hadoti will become a big center of tourism.
