Kota Vegetable prices fall due to local production, tomatoes cost Rs 60 per kg

Kota : Kota: The prices of vegetables, which were skyrocketing since last month, are now becoming normal due to increase in local arrivals of vegetables. Vegetables from nearby villages have started arriving in the market of Etawah. The price of tomatoes had reached Rs 100 per kg. Now, due to increase in the arrival of local vegetables, the price of tomato has come down to Rs 60. The price of onion has fallen by Rs 10 to Rs 40. While coriander was being sold at Rs 200 per kg last month, it has reached Rs 100 due to increase in arrivals. This week the prices of vegetables have fallen by Rs 10 to Rs 30 per kg.

In December, new onions will start arriving from cities of other states and prices will fall. The new crop of local onion will start arriving in February-March. In the last two months, tomatoes which were being sold at Rs 40 per kg had reached Rs 100 per kg. In which there has been a decline of Rs 40. At the same time, potatoes costing Rs 40 per kg have come down to Rs 30, onions costing Rs 50 per kg have come down to Rs 40, brinjal costing Rs 40 per kg have come down to Rs 30 and green coriander leaves costing Rs 200 per kg have come down to Rs 100 per kg. Farmers said that as winter increases in the district, the arrival of local vegetables will increase.
