Kota : Kota Education Ministry has handed over the command of Central Seat Allocation Board CSAB 2025 to National Institute of Technology NIT Rourkela Odisha. Earlier in the year 2024, the command of Central Seat Allocation Board CSAB was in the hands of National Institute of Technology NIT Suratkal. Joint Seat Allocation Authority JoSAA 2025 is to be formed under the joint aegis of Central Seat Allocation Board and IIT Joint Admission Board. It is noteworthy that JoSAA-2025 is being implemented in 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 26 TripleITs and B.Com of Government Funded Technical Institutes-GFTI of the country. -Combined for admission to Tech, Integrated MTech and Dual Degree courses. Counseling conducts the admission process.
Education expert Dev Sharma said that in the notification issued by the Ministry of Education, it has been made clear that it is the responsibility of the Joint Seat Allocation Authority JoSAA, formed under the joint aegis of the Central Seat Allocation Board and the IIT Joint Admission Board, that the arrangement of female supernumerary seats should be done in such a manner. It should be ensured that minimum 20% female candidates can take admission in every engineering institute. It is mandatory to ensure admission of minimum 20% female candidates. Responsibilities like preparation of seat matrix as per reservation rules of Government of India, seat allocation under counseling rules, creation and maintenance of JoSAA website, framing and uploading of counseling brochures are to be discharged by the Central Seat Allocation Board CSAB.
Payment of 10% of online application fee to CSAB-2025: It has been clarified in the notification that the necessary funds to discharge the responsibilities of CSAB-2025 will be provided by the National Testing Agency. For this, NTA will provide 10% of the online application fee of JEE Main 2025 to the Central Seat Allocation Board CSAB.
