Kota : Kota Chairperson of Rajasthan Women’s Commission and former state president of Mahila Congress, Rehana Riaz Chishti held a public hearing at Kota Circuit House on Tuesday. Rehana told that not all women can come to Jaipur. In such a situation, she herself goes to Kota or other districts to listen to the plight of women. Rehana Riaz, while talking to the media, objected to the slogan of “Bantenge to Katenge”. He said that such slogans are against our culture. Our culture and brotherhood that we have cherished for thousands of years. No single person can destroy it. He said that such ‘Kukurmutta’ type slogans keep coming from time to time. This society is ours, no one can divide it. A large number of chairs were set up for the public hearing, but only a few women turned up. Top officials were present in the Circuit House.
There were more cases of domestic violence
More cases of domestic violence have come to light in Kota during the public hearing. Some cases of dowry harassment also came to light. There has also been a discussion in this regard with SP and Collector. He complained to the SP that the prevalence of alcohol and drugs is increasing in the city, due to which children are committing suicide due to stress. He said that women are not safe even in the bathroom because cameras have been installed there. Police should take strict action against such accused.
