Barmer News Desk: Priyanka Sharma (32), a female teacher of a government school, died in Nehru Nagar area of Barmer. This incident happened on Sunday night, when Priyanka was watching mobile with her husband while eating food. Suddenly his health deteriorated and he started having hiccups.

Priyanka, who was a resident of Dholpur district, was working as a teacher in the Government Higher Secondary School located in Meghwals’ colony for the last 5 years. She lived in a rented house near GRP police station with her husband Yogendra Kumar.

On Sunday night, Priyanka’s family members were talking and using mobile phones after having dinner. Then Priyanka suddenly started having hiccups, due to which her health deteriorated. When the situation became serious, the husband immediately took Priyanka to Barmer Hospital. But on reaching there the doctors declared him dead. As soon as information about this incident was received, the Kotwali police reached the spot. The police kept Priyanka’s body in the hospital mortuary and started investigating the case.

There is an atmosphere of mourning in the family due to Priyanka’s sudden death. Her husband and mother-in-law are extremely upset by this incident. Priyanka’s sudden death has highlighted that sometimes even seemingly normal health problems can be serious. It is believed that death can also occur due to the food getting stuck in the throat while eating. Police are waiting for the post mortem report.
