Jaipur : The second and last solar eclipse of the year (Solar Eclipse 2024) is going to occur on 02 October, the day of Gandhi Jayanti. Take these precautions during solar eclipse
Adherence to Sutak period: During solar eclipse, Sutak period starts 12 hours in advance. During this time, all attention should be focused on worshiping God. Also, one should avoid touching the doors and idols of the temple.

Caution for pregnant women: Pregnant women should be especially careful during solar eclipse. They should stay indoors only. The shadow of the eclipse should not fall on them or their born child. Because according to religious beliefs, this can have a bad effect on the health of both.

Cover the place of worship: It is said that God faces a lot of pain during the eclipse, in such a situation the place of worship and temple of the house should be covered with a curtain so that its sanctity is maintained.

Keep cow dung or manure: Cow is considered the most revered in Hindu religion. Therefore, when the Sutak period starts, lightly apply cow dung on all the useful items present in the house. This will maintain their purity.

Do not eat or drink: One should avoid eating or drinking any kind of food or water during the eclipse, according to religious beliefs it is considered right to do so.

Use of basil leaves: During the eclipse, keep basil leaves on the food items so that they remain protected from the dark shadow of the eclipse.
Spraying of Ganga water: After the eclipse ends, sprinkle Ganga water in the entire house so that the effect of negative energy gets eliminated.
