Last two days of June declared dry day in Rajasthan, liquor sale banned

Jaipur : Excise Department in Rajasthan has issued a notification. Under this, Dry Day has been declared in 10 districts of Rajasthan. That is, liquor will not be sold in 10 districts. According to the information of the Excise Department, liquor sale has been banned for two days in 10 districts. Let us tell you that an order has been issued to ban liquor sale for 48 hours i.e. the last two days of June. 10 districts of Rajasthan include Ajmer, Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Churu, Dungarpur, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Gangapur City, Sriganganagar, Anupgarh and Udaipur. Dry Day has been declared in these districts from 5 pm on June 28 to 5 pm on June 30. That is, liquor will not be sold for 48 hours. If caught selling liquor, action will also be taken against it.

Why was dry day declared

In fact, the State Election Commission has announced the municipal by-election in Rajasthan. Voting will be held on June 30 for the municipal by-election. After this, the Excise Department has issued a notification. Under this, instructions have been issued regarding the municipal by-election to be held on June 30, 2024. In which it has been said that the Governor has declared a dry day in the municipal body constituencies and the adjoining 5 km peripheral areas for a period of 48 hours ending on the end of the polling i.e. from 5 pm on June 28, 2024 to 5 pm on June 30, 2024.

Voting in 15 municipal bodies in 10 districts

The Rajasthan State Election Commission has announced by-elections to fill the vacant members in the municipal bodies of the state. Under this, voting will be held for the election of members in 15 municipal bodies in 10 districts of the state. Voting for the election will be held on 30 June 2024 of this month. The Governor has given approval for this and necessary instructions have also been issued. In the notification issued by the State Election Commission, it has been said that in the areas where elections are to be held. Holidays will be declared in the offices located in that area. In such a situation, holiday has been declared on the day of voting on 30 June 2024 in these 10 districts.
