Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday held a meeting with senior officials of the Home Department and Police regarding the state’s law and order, control of crimes, ban on illegal mining and a comprehensive campaign against cyber crime. Describing law and order in the state as the top priority of the government, he directed the officials to ensure it and said that any kind of negligence and indifference will not be accepted in this.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Soren said that organized crime will stop only when the fear of strong policing is visible among the criminals. It is necessary for those who commit crimes to fear the police. Necessary instructions have been given to the officials regarding this. He said that the officials have presented the action plan and action being taken regarding law and order in the state, prevention of illegal mining and various types of crime control through Power Point Presentation (PPT). They have been instructed that as per the effective strategy, strictest action should be ensured against the identified criminals.

In the records presented by the police officers in the meeting, it was said that most of the incidents of dowry deaths are happening in Palamu, Garhwa, Hazaribagh, Giridih and Dhanbad, while most of the incidents of common murders are happening in Bokaro, Ranchi, Gumla and Chaibasa districts. Are. The strategy to control these crimes was also presented in the meeting.

The Chief Minister directed the officials that the police should run a massive special campaign to prevent illegal drug trade in the state and make people aware of the law. Provide information about the harm caused by drug consumption to students studying in schools in all urban and rural areas. Only awareness will reduce drug consumption. For the last several years, the police has launched a campaign and destroyed the ready crop of opium in thousands of acres, despite this it has not been possible to completely stop the opium trade in the forest land.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to establish better coordination with the Forest Department to eradicate opium cultivation in the forest land and ensure that narcotics are not cultivated again in such places. CM said that stopping cyber crime is a big challenge. Cyber ​​crime can be reduced by using modern technology.

While sharing information before the Chief Minister, police officials said that FIR has been registered against 330 cyber criminals through ‘Pratibimb App’, 1281 cyber criminals have been arrested and 3493 SIM cards and 2524 mobiles have been seized.

State Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Avinash Kumar, Principal Secretary of Home Department Vandana Dadel, DGP Anurag Gupta, Managing Director of Police Housing Ajay Kumar Singh, DG Headquarters RK Mallik, DG Home Guard Anil Palta and other seniors were present in the meeting.
