Leakage in Kota Chambal canal, water filled in 10-15 bigha land

Kota News Desk: Due to excessive flow of water, leakage occurred in the right main canal of Chambal in Digod area of ​​Kota. The water went into the surrounding fields. The villagers informed the Chambal Command Area (CAD) officials, after which the officials reached the spot. The leak was rectified after about 3 hours by reducing the flow of water in the canal. The incident took place at Devpura Pulia. Presently MP’s share of water is being released in the canal. AEN Sonu Sharma said – Information about leakage from the canal was received around 7 am in the morning. There was a leak from the canal escape. The leakage has been stopped by reducing the flow of water.

Local villager Vinod Meghwal told – around 6 in the morning, when he came towards the fields during his morning walk, there was water flowing near the culvert. Due to leakage of water from the canal, water had reached 10-15 bighas of the field. The officials were informed about this by calling, after which SDM and CAD officials reached the spot. The leakage was stopped around 10.30 am. Due to leakage of water from the canal, water reached the fields of nearby farmers Bhuvanesh, Mohan Lal Nayak, Babu Lal Nayak, Hemraj Meghwal, Rampal Meghwal. There was preparation to harvest wheat in their fields after a day or two.
