According to the Vedic calendar, the full moon date of Ashwin month has started on October 16 at 08:40 pm. At the same time, this date is going to end on October 17 at 04:55 pm. In such a situation, the fast of Sharad Purnima will be observed on Wednesday, 16 October. There itself. Ashwin Purnima is ending on 17th October at 04:55 pm. In such a situation, bathing and donation will be done on 17th October.

Sharad Purnima Puja Method

Wake up early in the morning on the day of Sharad Purnima. After this, take bath and wear clean clothes. Now clean the north-east direction of the house and spread a red cloth on the post. Install the picture or idol of Lord Lakshmi, Lord Vishnu and Moon God. In the puja, include worship materials like Akshat, Ganga water, incense, lamp, camphor, flowers, betel nut and betel leaves etc.

After this, bathe the idols of Lakshmi ji and Lord Vishnu with milk and Ganga water. Now offer Naivedya and perform Aarti. Make sure to offer kheer to Goddess Lakshmi during the puja. After this, worship Moon God, put water, rice and flowers in a pot and offer him Arghya. Keep the puja kheer in the moonlight overnight and distribute it as prasad the next day and consume it yourself.
