Legal awareness camp on World AIDS Day in Bharatpur in earnest

Bharatpur : Taluka Legal Services Committee Bayana organized an awareness camp in the CHC premises on World AIDS Day on Sunday. During the program, awareness about AIDS and its prevention and treatment was explained.

In the camp organized under the direction of Taluka Legal Services Committee President ADJ Sonali Prashant Sharma, panel advocate Lokesh Kaushik, Ayurveda medicine Dr. Naresh Singh Tanwar and Dr. Balkrishna Sharma, Block Social Security Officer Gajendra Singh Gurjar, Para Legal Volunteer Neg Singh explained the causes of AIDS disease. , explained the importance of early detection of the disease, its impact on society and various prevention measures. He also stressed the need to end the myths and discrimination associated with this disease.

Panel advocate Lokesh Kaushik asked the medical personnel to be sensitive towards AIDS patients. Along with this, the safety of AIDS patients, their help and providing free medicines were discussed. Apart from this, important topics like protection from sexual crimes and exploitation of children, Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act, POCSO Act and cyber security were discussed. He told the medical professionals that everyone should be aware of the basic legal provisions. Because this makes it easier to protect the weaker sections of the society. He said that health workers should participate in continuous education and awareness programs on these legal issues, so that they can provide legal aid and guidance to the needy.
