Leopard in government college of Alwar, rescue continues

Alwar News Desk: The forest administration is continuing its efforts to find the leopard which was seen two days ago in RR College located in the heart of Alwar city. A cage was also placed on the side of the temple built in the forest of the college building and a victim was also tied in it. But the leopard did not get trapped. Apart from this, they are trying to find the leopard through camera traps. At present there is a ban on movement towards the forest inside the college. Leopard’s pug marks were seen around 5.30 pm on Sunday evening and around 6 am on Monday morning. The leopard was seen by two women who had come to visit RR College in the evening. After that, a team of forest workers reached here and after seeing the pugmark, it was confirmed to be a leopard. Next day on Monday morning, forest workers arrived and saw pug marks nearby. Then fresh pug marks were seen in the temple complex built inside the forest. That means the leopard was still here around 6 in the morning. Now preparations are underway to install cameras and cages to catch him. Alwar DFO and other forest personnel have started preparations to catch the leopard.

These women saw in the evening

Eyewitness woman Shakuntala Devi told that it was a leopard. He quickly left one gate and went to the other. We were coming walking. Then suddenly the leopard passed by. We told the NCC cadets outside. After this the team of forest workers reached there. Another woman Kunti Choudhary told that we were coming back after walking. Then a leopard came out from near the main gate. Now forest workers have also seen pug marks. He also said it was leopard. This leopard was bigger than a dog. But the length was enough. Went inside the forest itself.

At night, Ranger Shankar Singh told that information about leopard was received from the college. We have seen pugmarks. Pugmarks resemble those of a leopard. Here is the forest of RR College. Forester Bhim Singh arrived on Monday morning. Who have seen fresh pug marks of leopard in the Hanumanji temple complex built in the forest of RR College. Bhim Singh told that now they are installing camera traps. Cages have also been ordered.

Exam is going on since morning

The special thing is that there is an exam in RR College since morning. More than 1 thousand candidates will come here to take the exam in two shifts. Secondly, those coming for a walk in the morning were stopped. Everyone was told that a leopard has come into the forest. There is danger in going inside. Due to this, people coming for sightseeing have been stopped. Forest workers say that now the general public should not go into the forest. Leopard can attack anytime.

DFO said – pug marks were found in the morning also

DFO Rajendra Hooda said that there is about 50 hectares of forest around the college campus. There is water and wildlife inside. Here is the leopard movement. The team has been called from Sariska. Soon we will tranquilize it and release it into the forest. Currently the leopard has been seen only once. Now even in the morning pug marks have been found.
