Bhilwara News Desk: A leopard got trapped in a trap set by villagers in a village in Bhilwara today. For a long time, there was an atmosphere of panic among the villagers due to the movement of the leopard. Several attempts were made by forest department officials to capture the leopard, but every time they failed. After this, the villagers set traps in the forest area at their own level. After the leopard was trapped on Monday, a crowd of people from nearby villages gathered to see it.
The matter is of Gudha village of Gangapur subdivision of Bhilwara district, where the villagers heaved a sigh of relief after the leopard was caught. Villager Shambhu Lal told – A leopard was seen on the embankment of the pond in the village, which we also went to see. The team from Udaipur rescued it and left it in the forests of Gangapur. According to the villagers, continuous movement of leopard was being seen in Gangapur area for the last one year. Due to which there was panic among the villagers. The forest department had also installed cages at various places to catch the leopard. But he was unable to catch it. But this time the leopard got trapped in the trap laid by the villagers.
Regional Forest Officer Manoj Kumar said – A leopard has been rescued from Gudha village. Rescue team was called from Udaipur. They immediately rescued him. At present the male leopard is completely healthy. Its age is about 5 to 6 years. Under the guidance of a senior officer, it has been released in the area associated with Gangapur.
