Chittorgarh : Forest Department team rescued the injured leopard lying near Gundaral village near Kanera in Chittorgarh. The leopard was trapped among the bushes and was in injured condition. A villager present in a nearby field heard the growling sound and informed the forest department team. Leopard’s mouth is injured. After the rescue, he was brought to Chittorgarh, where doctors examined him. Now the leopard is healthy. The age of the leopard is 7 years and its weight is said to be 80 to 100 kg.
Leopard was stuck between bushes
Vijaypur Range Ranger Bhupendra Singh Shaktawat said that the sound of the animal growling was received from the bushes near a field in Gundaral village near Kanera. When we reached the spot, we saw that a leopard was lying injured. The leopard was trapped between the bushes. To reach it the team first cut bushes. Information was given to higher officer DFO Vijay Shankar Pandey. On his orders, a team of tranquilizers was sent to the spot.
Leopard is under the supervision of doctors
Ranger Bhupendra Singh Shaktawat said that the leopard was tranquilized. But even for this one had to struggle for an hour. After the first two attempts failed, the leopard was made unconscious after tranquilizing it for the third time. After which the leopard was taken in the cage. During this time a crowd of villagers gathered. After explaining everything, everyone was sent away from there.
The leopard was rescued and brought to Chittorgarh. Where doctors treated him. Now he is completely healthy. The leopard will be kept under the observation of doctors and then released into the forest.
It is being estimated that people will come to Kanara from MP.
He told that MP border is only two kilometers away from the area. It is estimated that the leopard might have come there while chasing some prey. Must have been injured by some wire. He got hurt on the side of his mouth only. It belongs to the Cat family and is a Wildlife List-1 animal. He is male and his age is 7 years. Its weight is estimated to be around 80 to 100 kg. Forester Nepal Singh, Forester Rajendra Singh, Parvat Singh, Forest Guard Yogesh Gurjar, Meghnath, Narayan Singh, Manohar Singh Jat and Mukesh Kharol from the tranquilize team were present in the rescue team.
