Lieutenant Governor holds review meeting before police constable exam in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, December 1 (IANS). Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha held a meeting at Raj Bhavan on Saturday to review the preparations for conducting the written examination for selection of police constables in Jammu and Kashmir.

In this meeting, he discussed the preparations for conducting the examination with the officials and directed DIG, DC, SSP and other senior officers to inspect the examination centres. “We have to ensure that the examination is conducted transparently, smoothly and without any incident,” he said.

In the meeting, the officials also informed the Lieutenant Governor about all the logistical arrangements for the written examination for the post of Constable (Armed/IRP/Executive/SDRF) being conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board on Sunday.

Chief Secretary Atal Dullu, Home Secretary Chandraker Bharti, ADGP Jammu Anand Jain, IGP Kashmir Vidhi Kumar Birdi, Principal Secretary to Lieutenant Governor Mandeep K. were present in the meeting. Bhandari, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Bidhuri, all DIGs, Deputy District Magistrates and SSPs participated through personal and virtual mediums.

Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board has released the admit card for Constable Recruitment Exam 2024. The examination for Jammu and Kashmir Police constable posts will be conducted on December 1, 8 and 22. Objective type multiple choice questions will be asked in this examination and all questions will be in English language only. Further, for each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks prescribed for that question will be deducted as negative marking.
