History of Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple—
Moti Dungri Ganesh Mandir is situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The temple of Lord Shri Ganesh situated at the foot of Moti Dungri is considered to be the main center of faith of the people of Jaipur. According to experts, the idol of Shri Ganesh installed here was brought from Mawali, the home of the chief queen of King Madho Singh I.
This idol was brought to Mavli from Gujarat. It is said that at that time this idol was five hundred years old. It is said that Nagar Seth Paliwal of Jaipur brought this idol and under his supervision this temple was built at the foot of Moti Dungi.
