Jaipur : Congress has raised questions on Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, who went on a tour to South Korea and Japan, for going abroad without the permission of the court. An application has been filed in ADJ Court-4 on the application of Sanwarmal Chaudhary to cancel the conditional anticipatory bail granted in the Gopalgarh riots of 2011 in Bharatpur. The next hearing in the case is to be held on September 24.
Bedham hits back at Julie’s allegations
Countering the allegations of Congress, senior ministers of BJP have accused Congress of appeasement politics. Leader of Opposition of Congress Tikaram Julie has written on social media platform X that the CM has violated the conditions of anticipatory bail by traveling abroad without the permission of the court in the midst of the trial of Gopalgarh riots. In response to this, Minister of State Jawahar Singh Bedham has said that Congress is furious because the Chief Minister has raised questions on the anti-national statements made by Rahul Gandhi in America. Congress will never refrain from appeasement. Bhajanlal Sharma and I went to Gopalgarh for cooperation only on the instructions of the administration. The intentions of the then Congress government were flawed, but Bhajanlal Sharma stood firm. The administration was supported.

A young man had cut his neck in the police station
On 13 September 2011, an accused had slit a neck in Jurhara police station of Mewat. During that time, Jurhara police station was attacked and vehicles were damaged. On the same day, two youths of Gurjar and Meo community had a fight in Gopalgarh. Both the parties were called to the police station and an attempt was made to negotiate. Bhajanlal Sharma, former MLA of the city Anita Singh Gurjar, Jawahar Singh Bedham from one side and Zahida Khan, former MLA of Kaman from the other side, including 20-22 people participated in the talks. It was decided in the talks that a compromise was agreed upon. After leaving from here, someone spread a rumour. Stone pelting and firing started. Due to continuous firing, the administration was present there. When a youth of Mali community was shot in the eye, BJP leaders Bhajanlal Sharma and Jawahar Singh Bedham protested in front of the administration. To maintain law and order, orders were given to fire on the rioters. 10 people were killed in the firing that went on for hours. After that, Bhajanlal Sharma also became the target of the rioters. In such a situation, he and other BJP members were dropped till Bharatpur under police protection.
