Mahadev Neelkantheshwar was born by drinking Halahal
It is believed that in this month, the animals were being harmed due to the effect of Halahal that came out during the Samudra Manthan. To stop this, Mahadev drank Halahal, due to which the temperature of his body increased a lot. To reduce this temperature, Indradev rained continuously on the orders of Lord Vishnu. Also, Mother Parvati, who was in the form of Sati at that time, seeing the condition of Bholenath, bathed him with milk continuously and put Halahal in his throat. After this, his throat turned blue. Due to which Mahadev also came to be known as Neelkantheshwar.
