Mahakumbh will be monitored with the help of 1650 CCTV cameras, 24 APNR cameras, 40 VMDS and AI.

Prayagraj, 30 November (IANS). Mahakumbh, the world’s largest human gathering, is expected to receive 45 crore devotees in 2025. The eyes of the whole world are fixed on the organization of Mahakumbh. In such a situation, Uttar Pradesh Government and Prayagraj Fair Authority are also making preparations accordingly under the guidance and direction of CM Yogi. An example of this is the upgrading of the ICC Center for the successful organization and operation of the Maha Kumbh Mela. The ICC Center was constructed for Kumbh 2019 but as Maha Kumbh 2025 is going to be organized even grander and bigger, it is being upgraded. Chief Minister Adityanath inspected it during his visit to Prayagraj and also gave instructions to complete the upgradation work soon.

Integrated Command and Control Centre, ICCC was constructed for the successful conduct of Kumbh 2019. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prayagraj Fair Authority and Prayagraj Smart City conduct the fair with the help of state-of-the-art technology like AI, chatbot, live surveillance, CCTV cameras through ICC Centre. As the Maha Kumbh 2025 event is grander and bigger than all the previous Kumbh and Maha Kumbh Melas, the ICC Center is being upgraded. According to CM Yogi’s vision of heritage and development, efforts are being made to make the ancient tradition of Mahakumbh accessible and safe with the use of modern technology.

Monitoring will be done with the help of AI component: Prayagraj Smart City and Fair Authority is getting the work of upgradation of ICC Center done with the help of top engineering institutes of the country. In view of Mahakumbh 2025, about 1650 new CCTV cameras, 24 APNR cameras, 40 VMCDs, 100 smart parking, 268 and 240 AI components for crowd management and vehicle count are being installed. Along with this, 20 seats are being increased in the call center for grievance redressal. In Mahakumbh 2025, the entire fair area will be inspected from ICC Center Fair, MCR Centre, Arail and Jhunsi Viewing Centre. Besides, crowd management and monitoring work will be done at 9 railway stations with the help of AI controlled CCTV cameras.
