Maharao Bhim Singh Stadium located in Kota Sangod is in bad condition only after one year of inauguration

Kota : Kota Maharao Bhim Singh Stadium has become a victim of chaos and plight just one year after its inauguration. Local players and youth had high expectations from this stadium built after spending lakhs of rupees. Due to lack of regular cleaning, garbage everywhere and carrot grass growing inside the grounds have eclipsed its beauty.

At night, most of the stadium’s ground area remains immersed in darkness as most of the stadium’s halogen lights are switched off. The first ancient sports ground is situated on Jolpa Marg Sangod, to improve this sports ground as a stadium, the previous state government made an action plan to make this stadium the first stadium of Kota district, inside the stadium cricket, kabaddi, kho-kho, Separate porches were built for badminton, basketball and other games. Walking path was also constructed. To keep the entire stadium smelling of greenery, many types of trees and plants were planted. To ensure that no one from outside enters the stadium at night, fencing barricades were installed all around. To keep the stadium glowing with milky light even at night, high mask halogen was installed around the entire stadium, but due to the municipality not paying any attention towards the maintenance and upkeep of the stadium, it affected the stadium, all the arrangements of the stadium were in disarray. It’s done.

This stadium of the city became the first stadium of Kota district. On the lines of this, the previous state government took the help of many engineers in developing this stadium. CFCL Gadhepan also helped in the construction of this stadium by giving a budget of lakhs of rupees. Inside this, there are separate rooms with big facilities for the players to change their clothes, stay and rest when there are district level and block level competitions. Arrangements for bathing, washing etc. have been made inside. A separate gym has been built. Local players say that the ground has shrunk due to the acquisition of stadium land. The players protested, but their complaint was not heeded. Iron fencing nets are also breaking. The stadium is running on the basis of watchmen, there is no arrangement for regular cleaning by the cleaning staff inside it. Maharao Bhim Singh Stadium was constructed by RSRDC, this stadium was handed over to the Municipality after completion of the work in the year 2023. RSRDC has a contract to maintain electricity and other systems for 5 years. The municipality itself looks after the cleanliness and minor work. If the halogen is damaged then RSRDC will get it repaired. They have been made to face problems regarding this.
