New Delhi, November 28 (IANS). Shiv Sena Lok Sabha MP Naresh Ganpat, while speaking to IANS on Thursday, cornered the opposition on the Maharashtra Assembly election results. During this, he also expressed his views on Chief Minister and EVM issues.
Shiv Sena MP Naresh Ganpat said, “Opposition parties came together for the chair. Their ideologies are different. Uddhav Thackeray should have thought when he broke the alliance with the BJP. He broke our alliance for the chair, Which was the national alliance.”
On the issue being said by the opposition leaders about the irregularities in EVMs, the Shiv Sena leader said that when they win, everything is fine and they start celebrating. But when they lose, they blame EVMs. If there was a glitch in the EVM, then Rahul Gandhi or Priyanka Gandhi would have lost the election. In such a situation, how did they get elected? One should think about whether there has been an EVM scam on those seats. All this is just misleading talk and they are saying such things to keep their cadre with them.
Regarding the name of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena leader said that only five days have passed since the election results came. Only Mahayuti will become the CM, the name will be announced in two-four days. He said, “Our ‘Mahayuti’ is impenetrable and the leader of the alliance will be the CM.”
Regarding his meeting with outgoing Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday, he said that he had gone to congratulate the Chief Minister on his victory in the elections.
It may be noted that voting for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra took place in a single phase on November 20. Its results came on November 23, in which the ruling Mahayuti won 234 seats. Now efforts are on to make the Chief Minister in the state.
