‘Mahayuti’ sure to benefit from increased voting percentage in Maharashtra elections: Shiv Sena

Mumbai, November 22 (IANS). On Friday, just a day before the announcement of Maharashtra Assembly election results, Shiv Sena leader and party spokesperson Raju Waghmare had a special conversation with news agency IANS. During this, he gave his reaction on the increased voting percentage in Maharashtra elections, exit poll trends and the face of the Chief Minister.

Shiv Sena leader Raju Waghmare said that the voting percentage has increased in the assembly elections. There are two-three reasons behind this. ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Behan Yojana’ became popular in Maharashtra, under which we have benefited 2.50 crore sisters. This is the reason why participation of women has increased at every polling booth.

He further said that in the Lok Sabha elections, ‘Mahavikas Aghadi’ had presented a fake narrative against Dalits and reservation, while a particular community had voted 100 percent. After this, people from other communities also decided that if they can vote completely, then why can’t we? People of Muslim community voted in the Lok Sabha elections and people of the entire Hindu community decided to vote in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Voting has increased due to these two reasons. At the same time, for both the reasons, votes were cast in our favor. ‘Mahayuti’ will benefit from the increased voting percentage.

The Shiv Sena leader claimed that the way the government has taken public welfare schemes among the people, it is certain that a ‘Mahayuti’ government will be formed in the state. The ‘mahayuti’ of BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP will definitely get 165 seats. There may be more seats than this, but it will not be less.

On Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut’s question regarding calling the exit poll results fake, Waghmare said that he knows that he is not going to come, so what is the point in talking in such a situation. With what issue did they go among the public that people would vote for them? There is a fight between their alliance for the seat and the Chief Minister.

He said that Maharashtra Assembly elections have been fought under the leadership of our Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. All three parties agreed to his leadership. After winning the elections, if it comes to the post of CM, then it is clear that Eknath Shinde is going to have the upper hand. He is famous in Maharashtra and has also been spotless. But, whatever decision the top leaders take, it will be acceptable to Mahayuti and us.
