Mumbai, November 23 (IANS). Election results of Maharashtra and Jharkhand have come out. ‘Mahayuti’ in Maharashtra and ‘India’ block in Jharkhand have returned to power. BJP leader Hitesh Jain, while speaking exclusively to IANS, reacted to the election results.
On the election results of Maharashtra, Hitesh Jain said, “This is a great victory and a great landslide of Mahayuti. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that “If we are united, we are safe”. On the appeal of PM Modi, ‘Mahayuti’ was greatly blessed by the voters of Maharashtra. By raising this slogan and keeping it in front of their eyes, the voters have given a good mandate. This is a victory of positive election campaign.”
When the opposition raised questions about EVMs, he said that it was already decided. They did not have any solid reason. Till yesterday these people used to fight among themselves and play the game of who would become the Chief Minister. Today, when they completely failed in the elections, they started blaming EVMs. According to me they should review. If they keep blaming EVMs like this, many elections will come and go, and they will keep losing.
He said that those who are raising questions on EVMs should tell what happened in Jharkhand? He has not won some seats in Maharashtra. In this case, it is a fake narrative. He only had a negative narrative.
On PM Modi’s slogan “If we stay together, we will be safe”, he said that the people of Maharashtra expressed confidence in PM Modi’s slogan. The job of the opposition was to do negative politics, create division in the name of castes and create disputes between Marathi and Gujarati.
Regarding the defeat of Shiv Sena (UBT), the BJP leader said that Uddhav Thackeray should have remembered one thing of Balasaheb Thackeray that “I will not let my Shiv Sena become Congress”. Uddhav had converted Shiv Sena into Congress and hence they failed in the elections.
