Dholpur : Dholpur city police jointly took action against illegal gravel transportation of Chambal. The sudden blockade at Sagarpada and Waterworks intersection on National Highway No. 44 created panic among the gravel mafia. In the action, police seized four tractor-trolleys laden with illegal gravel and arrested one gravel mafia while others escaped.
Under the direction of Range IG Rahul Prakash and SP Sumit Mehrada, CO City Munesh Meena along with Kotwali police station in-charge Pramendra Rawat, Sadar Ramnaresh Meena and Nihalganj police station SI Ngambhir Singh and DST team jointly took action against the gravel mafia. The police team set up a blockade on the highway near Sagarpada and Waterworks intersection in the city. Seeing the police, there was panic among the gravel mafia and they ran away leaving four vehicles laden with gravel. Police arrested a gravel mafia Pawan son of Man Singh Gurjar resident of Khabelpur police station Kanchanpur while others escaped. The police also conducted a search operation in the ravines adjacent to Chambal in search of the gravel mafia. The police team raided the hideout of gravel mafia at Nimbasai, Chowkipura, Barailapura, Beechhiya, Dev Ka Pura, Badapur and Mauroli village and other places.
