Kolkata, December 10 (IANS). West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has shown interest in leading the ‘India’ block. Amidst the ongoing rhetoric on this, Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh has said on Tuesday that Mamata Banerjee has no interest in getting any post at the Centre, she is just aiming to defeat the BJP.
Kunal Ghosh while talking to the media said that Mamata Banerjee has no interest in getting any post in Delhi. In Bengal, Trinamool stopped the BJP, in Jharkhand, Hemant Soren’s party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha stopped the BJP, but in Haryana and Maharashtra, the Congress party has failed to do so. There the responsibility of stopping BJP was mainly on the Congress party but it proved unsuccessful. Therefore, senior leaders are saying that experienced and effective leadership like Mamata Banerjee should come forward to stop BJP.
Trinamool MLA Humayun Kabir has said that we will build Babri Masjid in Murshidabad, Bengal. On this Kunal Ghosh said that this is his personal matter. If someone wants, he can build a temple, mosque, church, gurudwara, anything on his land. He will not make any political comment on this. Whether a person worships or offers Namaz or does anything else inside the house, it is a matter of his religion.
Regarding ‘One Nation, One Election’, he said that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has clearly said that our country runs on the belief in unity in diversity. Every state has its own history, a political imprint. How will all the elections be held simultaneously? Everything will go wrong.

On this issue, Kunal Ghosh said that everything is going well in the eyes of the Supreme Court. The investigation was done properly, the chargesheet was filed properly, the trial is going on properly. Therefore, the apex court did not consider it necessary to give any closer date. The trial is going on in Sealdah Court. The trial court is different. The Supreme Court is monitoring, so they are not interfering. Right now the trial is going on daily.
