Mamata Banerjee should first handle Bengal, then talk about Indi alliance: Agnimitra Paul

Kolkata, 7 December (IANS). BJP leader and West Bengal MLA Agnimitra Paul had a special conversation with IANS on Saturday. During this, he expressed his views on many important issues including Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress.

Responding to Mamata Banerjee’s statement about handling the India Alliance, Agnimitra Paul said that Mamata Banerjee should first try to handle Bengal and then think of leading the India Alliance. He said that Mamata Banerjee and her alliance leaders had dreamed of gaining power in 2024, but they completely failed. Paul clearly saw the defeat of Indi Alliance in the Maharashtra and Haryana assembly elections as a victory for the BJP and said that Indians have now rejected this alliance.

On the allegations of factionalism against TMC MLA Mahua Moitra, he said that this issue is an internal matter of the Trinamool party. However, he also said that Mahua Moitra has been in controversies before too, such as regarding her statement on Maa Kali. He also targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said that no strict action was taken in this matter.

Agnimitra Paul supported the letter written by BJP MP Jyotirmoy Mahato to the Nobel Committee to withdraw the Nobel Peace Prize from Bangladesh’s caretaker Prime Minister Mohammad Yunus. He said that we have been saying for a long time that Mohammad Yunus should not get the Nobel Peace Prize because during his tenure, genocide of Hindus took place in Bangladesh.

Supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement regarding the development of the North-East, Agnimitra Paul said that this statement of PM Modi is completely correct. He said that earlier no attention was paid to the development of the North-East, but the Modi government has done unprecedented development work in this region in the last ten years. Especially under the leadership of West Bengal BJP State President Dr. Sukant Majumdar, pride is being felt for the development in this area.

When Trinamool Congress leaders demanded action from the Central Government on the atrocities being committed on the Hindu community in Bangladesh, he said that how can the Trinamool Congress say that the Center has not taken some steps? The Ministry of External Affairs has strongly condemned the atrocities taking place in Bangladesh. This issue is serious and will be resolved carefully.

Responding to Chief Minister MK Stalin’s statement regarding religious discrimination in Tamil Nadu, Agnimitra Paul said that if CM Stalin says that there will be no religious discrimination in Tamil Nadu during his tenure, then what is his son saying? His son had given a statement against Sanatan Dharma, so first fix the family. It is not in anyone’s power to destroy Sanatan Dharma.
