Many cases of corruption came to light in ACB investigation in this municipality of Rajasthan, causing a stir

Jhalawar : Rajasthan Government ACB is continuously taking action to end corruption. The government is also adopting a strict attitude against corruption. Recently, the government relieved three employees involved in corruption from their services and sent them home. However, a unique case has come to light in Jhalawar. Where the autonomous department of the government is busy saving its corrupt employees and public representatives. Not only this, the file for filing a case has been pending for 2 years.

32 cases of corruption found in ACB investigation

The case is of Jhalawar district’s Jhalawar Municipality, where 32 cases of corruption have been found to be proven in the ACB investigations, in which action is to be taken by filing cases against many public representatives and government employees. However, DLB has been sitting on the file sent for permission of the cases for 2 years. Let us tell you that an investigation was conducted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau team regarding the complaints made by a social worker about some scams and frauds that took place in Jhalawar Municipality before the year 2015. ACB investigated 32 cases related to the municipality. Irregularities were confirmed in all 32 cases in the investigation. The Bureau had sent this investigation report to the Director of the Department of Autonomous Governance on 21 July 2022 and sought approval for prosecution against the culprits.

These were cases of corruption

The cases investigated by the Anti-Corruption Bureau included changing the plot numbers of the colony, selling the strip of land, issuing house leases to encroachers, issuing building approvals against the rules and getting the encroachments registered. The then Municipal Chairman, the then EO RK Goyal, Junior Assistant Rajesh Gurjar, along with employees Vimal Jain, Bashir Mohammad, JE Tarun Lahri, Ram Babu Yadav, Vidyaratan, Bujmohan Shrungi, Mahavir Sharma and other employees misused their positions and defrauded the government of crores of rupees.

DLB has been holding the file for 2 years

However, no action has been taken against these people till now. Even the DLB has been sitting on the file for 2 years. It is said that most of the accused are influential people who use their influence to create hurdles in the whole case.
