Jaipur : Union Finance Ministry has approved two big schemes worth about Rs 145 crore sent by the Tourism Department of Rajasthan. This will lead to development of Amer, Nahargarh Fort and Jalmahal area of Jaipur. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari had met Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in this regard on Thursday.

Under the special scheme, the Central Government approved a project worth Rs 49.31 crore for the development of Amer and Nahargarh and Rs 96.61 crore for the development of Jal Mahal area. In such a situation, the appearance of Jaipur will improve at a cost of Rs 145 crore.
Ropeway proposals also
Diya Kumari told that the project report for the development of Khatu Shyam Ji and Pushkar Corridor is also being sent to the Center by the Tourism Department. Proposals for ropeway schemes have been sent to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for the development of Nahargarh-Amer.
