Bharatpur : In the self-immolation case of Baba Vijay Das, Rajasthan DGP Utkal Ranjan Sahu has APOed Deeg CO Prem Bahadur. Deeg CO had filed an FR in the case, on which Bharatpur Range IG expressed disagreement and handed over the re-investigation to ASP. This is why DGP took action.
Two years ago Baba Vijay Das had committed suicide
Baba Vijay Das started a protest from 16 January 2021 demanding to stop illegal mining on Braj’s heritage Adi Badri and Kankachal mountain in Deeg district and to protect nature. He set himself on fire on 20 July 2022 at 11.30 am. He died in Delhi on 23 July 2022 during treatment.
Deeg CO had filed FR
The police had registered a case in this matter, in which the investigating officer Deeg CO Prem Bahadur Singh had filed an FR, the investigation was again handed over to Additional SP Kaman Satish Yadav. Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) Utkal Ranjan Sahu APOed Prem Bahadur Singh Deeg CO.
