Jodhpur : Jodhpur 100 new cottage wards are to be built in MDM Hospital. A new complex is to be built for the operation theatre. Several wings for mother-child check-up are to be built in MGH. After full technical-financial approvals were issued, budgets of Rs 50 lakh each were released. Their work also started. But now the government is asking what is their utility? The medical college administration has not been able to answer this question yet and the department has stopped the budget for further construction.
Medical Secretary raised questions
Medical Education Secretary Abrish Kumar, instead of giving budget to these projects, has raised questions on their usefulness. The medical college administration has been asked about their usefulness. However, the answer to this has not been made yet.
When the budget comes, work will be done
We have not received the budget. Rs 50 lakh each were received in the first phase. We have got the work done through them. Now if the budget comes further, the work will be able to start.
Currently there are less than 20 cottage wards and patients have to wait.
The OT process currently takes place at different locations. But with the construction of a complex, work will be done at one place.
The services of the specialist wing in MGH are less, with the opening of the mother-child wing, the treatment of children will be better.
