Banswara : This time in the MA final from Govind Guru Tribal University, the situation of being forced to read two question papers of Philosophy in the group of Literature came to light, causing dissatisfaction among the students. These days, when I came to know about this while filling the examination form, an objection was raised.
However, upon receiving information, GGTU corrected it on Thursday itself. Across the country, there are more than four options in MA post-secondary courses like grammar, literature, philosophy and Veda etc., but in Mohanlal Sukhadia University and Tribal University there are only two options, literature and philosophy. On this also, in the syllabus made under the new education policy, the university has prepared two question papers on literature and two on philosophy. However, it was uploaded on the website in the second week of August. Then on September 15, the time table was also officially released, but at first no one paid attention.
Now, philosophy in itself is an esoteric subject and in most of the colleges of the state, there are professors and teachers of Sanskrit literature and literature as subject experts. In such a situation, the students who were in the final stages of filling the examination form were in a dilemma. When the students discussed with the faculty members in the colleges, they also considered it wrong to give two papers of philosophy in Sanskrit literature, then further dissatisfaction emerged and the matter reached the university. On the other hand, GGTU’s examination in-charge Dr. Manoj Pandya said that when the matter was brought to notice two months after the release of the time table, in the interest of the students, it was amended on Thursday itself after consulting the subject experts.
