Dausa : submitted a memorandum to Additional District Collector Sumitra Pareek demanding release of outstanding payment of employees related to social audit of works like NREGA, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mid Day Meal, FFC, SBM etc. in Gram Panchayats of Dausa district.
It was told in the memorandum that for the last several years, many types of essential works are being done by village resource and block resource persons in Gram Panchayats. But the department is not paying the dues for the last two-three years and the department is continuously conducting social audit from these village resource persons.
District President of Social Audit Committee Sitaram Dayma said that their honorarium is outstanding since 2021 while the personnel engaged by NGOs are being paid on time. Even after complaining several times in this regard, no hearing is being taken. Due to this, the village resource persons have collectively boycotted the social audit to be held in the district from December 1 to December 7, 2024.
They say that until the dues are not paid, they will not do social audit work in Gram Panchayats nor will they allow village resource persons from other districts to do it. They are being exploited by not paying. Whereas the work is done under pressure by the senior officials of the department, DRP and SRP, that if you do not do the social audit, you will be removed, due to which you will not even get paid.
