Jaipur : ACB will present the challan against Heritage Municipal Corporation Mayor Munesh Gurjar in the court on September 19 in the corruption case. ACB has restricted Munesh to be present in the court while presenting the challan. In this case, ACB has already arrested Munesh’s husband Sushil Gurjar, who is on bail. The challan will be presented by ACB Deputy Superintendent Bahadur Singh. He issued a notice for the restriction on Friday. It is written in the notice that the allegations against Munesh Gurjar in case 213 year 2023 are proved. Principal Secretary Autonomous Governance Department has also issued prosecution approval against him on September 6. In this case, the High Court had ordered on September 9 that the challan should be presented in two weeks. In such a situation, Munesh has been asked to appear in the court on September 19, the date of challan. ACB gave this notice in the Mayor’s office, which was received by Mahesh Sarwan, Junior Assistant.
In August 2023, the ACB raided the house of Heritage Nagar Nigam Mayor Munesh Gurjar and arrested her husband Sushil Gurjar on charges of demanding a bribe of Rs 2 lakh. It was alleged that bribe was demanded through two brokers in lieu of getting the lease issued. The ACB also arrested brokers Narayan Singh and Anil Dubey. During the search of Sushil Gurjar’s house, the ACB found Rs 41 lakh apart from the complainant’s lease file, while Rs 8.95 lakh was also recovered from the house of broker Narayan Singh.

ACB’s investigation revealed that Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation Mayor Munesh was also involved in this corruption. ACB had taken Munesh’s statement in November 2023. On the basis of the report of the then investigating officer Additional Superintendent of Police Rajendra Nain, the ACB headquarters had decided to present a challan against the wife Mayor Munesh Gurjar along with the husband.
