Mayor Munesh Gurjar’s suspension postponed again, DLB served another notice

Jaipur : Autonomous Governance Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra kept waiting for the file related to the suspension of Jaipur Municipal Corporation Heritage Mayor Munesh Gurjar till Wednesday evening and DLB issued another notice. In the notice issued by the department’s director Kumar Pal Gautam on Wednesday evening, the mayor has been given three days to present his side. In this too, the case registered by the ACB has been cited. According to sources, the investigation conducted at the Deputy Director level has recommended the suspension of Mayor Munesh Gurjar. Departmental officials say that it is necessary to issue a final notice under Section 39 of the Municipality Act, which is issued by the Director. The Deputy Director is the investigating officer and the Director gives the last chance for hearing, so it was necessary to issue a notice under the Act. However, Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra has expressed displeasure over not being informed about this process earlier. It is worth noting that the Mayor has challenged the FIR registered by the ACB in the High Court.

The minister called after waiting and asked, why haven’t you sent the file yet?

Minister Kharra reached Jaipur from Pali on Wednesday afternoon. Before leaving from Pali, the officials were directed to bring the file related to the mayor’s case as soon as it reaches Jaipur. He reached the secretariat in the evening and waited for the file to arrive. After a long time, when he called the departmental officials, he was informed about the issuance of a new notice. The minister expressed deep displeasure over this. He asked – Was the first notice issued wrongly, is there any other reason?
The Deputy Director has investigated and submitted the report and under the Act it is necessary to give a final chance of hearing at the Director level. On this basis the notice has been issued. When the file did not arrive till evening, I enquired from the officials. The final notice was issued at the Director level. I am checking whether it was necessary to issue a notice now or not.
