Jalore : MCHN session was organized on Thursday as part of routine vaccination in Jalore district. During this period, vaccinations were given to children in MCH to protect them from 12 deadly diseases like TB, tetanus, diphtheria, measles, rubella, polio, pneumonia, diphtheria, whooping cough etc. Whereas pregnant women were given TD vaccine after prenatal checkup. During this, RCHO Dr. Rajkumar Bajiya inspected the MCHN session being organized at the health centres. District Reproductive and Child Health Officer, Dr. Rajkumar Bajiya said, the department organizes Maternal and Child Health Day (MCHN) session at health centers every Thursday.
In this, vaccines are given to pregnant women and children. In this context, the MCHN session organized at Community Health Center Revtara and Primary Health Center Keshavna was inspected and the work arrangements related to vaccination were reviewed. Also, information was given to pregnant women and children. Health services were reviewed. Also, the cold chain, availability of medicines, vaccine maintenance, presence of staff, cleanliness etc. were inspected in the institute. WHO representative Dr. Anita Chauhan was also present during the inspection.
