Meet the DSP who extorted lakhs by holding people hostage in the police station, know the whole matter

Churu : Khaki has been tainted in Churu district of Rajasthan. Here a senior police officer extorted 6 lakh rupees in exchange for settling a case. Not only this, according to the allegations, the victims were held hostage for 7 hours in the police station and beaten up. Now the accused DSP Anil Maheshwari has been APOed in the whole case. According to the information, a case has come to light in Sardarshahar where DSP took six lakh rupees through a BJP councilor from the people of Haryana who were going to a Hanumanji program in Gusainsar (Bikaner). The person from Haryana has given a letter to the SP and accused Sardarshahar DSP Anil Kumar Maheshwari of taking six lakh rupees from him by keeping him in the police station for seven hours and beating him up and threatening to register a case.

Took 1 lakh in cash and got the rest of the money transferred to the councillor’s account

It is written in the letter that DSP Maheshwari was given Rs 1 lakh in cash, besides that Rs 50,000 was deposited in the account of BJP councilor Madanlal and Rs 4.50 lakh in the account of another person Surendra Kumar. Then he was released. As soon as the SP came to know about the matter, he got it investigated by IPS Rajgarh DSP Prashant Kiran and informed the Jaipur DG about the entire matter. A report was also prepared and sent to the higher authorities for further action. Meanwhile, Director General of Police (DG), Jaipur UR Sahu took cognizance of the matter and APOed Anil Kumar Maheshwari. Regarding the matter, MP Rahul Kaswan has also condemned the incident and demanded action against the culprits.

All the victims were going from Haryana to Bikaner

Churu District Superintendent of Police Jai Yadav said that Aman Jat, a resident of Rewari in Haryana, told in the complaint that on the night of September 16, more than two dozen people from Rewari in Haryana were going to Bikaner in five-six vehicles to attend a religious program. DSP Anil Maheshwari was on patrol when they entered the Sardarshahar border. He stopped the people in all the vehicles. After interrogation on the spot, all the people were brought to Sardarshahar police station. Where they were interrogated. During the interrogation, it did not seem that the people from Haryana were suspicious.

Complaint was made in CMO

District police officer Yadav said that the complaint revealed that DSP Anil Maheshwari demanded about six to seven lakh rupees in exchange for releasing those people through a BJP councilor of Sardar city, Madan Ojha. About five lakh rupees were paid online and one lakh rupees in cash. But after this, the people of Haryana complained about it to Jaipur CMO. From where Churu SP got orders to investigate the matter. IPS Prashant Kiran, who is investigating the case, found the role of DSP suspicious. After thoroughly investigating the case, an interim report has been sent to SP Jai Yadav.
