Meeting held at CM residence before Jharkhand Assembly session

Ranchi, 9 December (IANS). Jharkhand Assembly session will start from Monday till December 12. Earlier on Sunday, a meeting of ruling party ministers and legislative party was held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Kanke Road of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha President and State Chief Minister Hemant Soren. In the meeting, the preparations of the ruling party for the upcoming assembly session were discussed.

Congress MLA from Bokaro Shweta Singh, who came out of the meeting, said that in this meeting there were talks about the assembly session starting from Monday. On Monday, MLAs will be sworn in in the House, after which the Assembly Speaker will be elected. Apart from this, there were discussions with our government on how to move ahead, how to develop the people, how to develop the region, all these issues were discussed.

State government minister Ramdas Soren said, β€œA meeting of the Grand Alliance party was held on Sunday in which issues related to the session starting from Monday, swearing in of members and who will be the Speaker of the Assembly were discussed. Necessary directions have been given to the Chief Minister in this regard.”

Suresh Paswan said, β€œIn this meeting, the work to be done when the session starts has been discussed. MLAs have to take oath in this. Apart from this, there will also be an address by the Governor.”

Let us tell you that the first session of the sixth assembly of Jharkhand is starting from today, which will continue till December 12. According to the program of this four-day session, the newly elected members of the Assembly will take oath on Monday. The election of the new Speaker of the Assembly will be held on December 10. The Governor’s address will be held on December 11, while on December 12, the second supplementary budget for the financial year 2024-25 will be presented in the House.
